Is Ottoman a nationality?
There was never any such thing. The Ottoman Empire was a multiethnic, multilingual state. The term “Ottoman” describes the ruling dynasty (the House of Osman), who were essentially ethnic Turks (although they became very mixed over time as most Ottoman emperors married non-Turkish, mostly European women).Nov 13, 2019
